Terms of use

These terms are between you and Upshift Technologies (“Upshift Technologies”, “we”), Islamabad, Pakistan, the operator of Hadi. By messaging Hadi you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.

1. What Hadi is

Hadi is an AI assistant on WhatsApp. Depending on what is switched on for you, it can record and summarise your finances, keep tasks and reminders, estimate zakat, create documents and PDFs, and answer questions. Hadi is in early access and may change.

2. Access is by invitation

You can use Hadi only after we have added your WhatsApp number. We decide which features each person gets, and we may change, limit, suspend or end access at any time, for example for misuse, security, or cost reasons. You can stop using Hadi at any time.

3. Your responsibilities

Give accurate information, and keep your phone and WhatsApp account secure. Anyone who can message from your number can use your Hadi.
Use Hadi lawfully. Do not use it to harass, deceive or harm anyone, to send spam, or to try to break or overload the service or reach other people’s data.
Do not send information about other people unless you have the right to.
Follow WhatsApp’s own terms and policies.

4. Hadi is an AI — check what matters

Hadi can make mistakes. It shows you what it will save and waits for your approval, but you are responsible for checking figures and decisions that matter to you.

Hadi does not give financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or religious advice. Zakat figures are estimates based on what you have recorded; for anything unusual, ask a qualified scholar.

5. Messages

Hadi replies to your messages, and sends reminders, alerts or summaries that you ask for. You can ask us to stop at any time.

6. Your data

Your records remain yours. You allow us to process them to provide Hadi, as described in the privacy policy. You can ask us to delete your data at any time: see how.

7. Availability

We try to keep Hadi running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. It depends on other services, including WhatsApp and AI providers, that we do not control.

8. Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Hadi is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on Hadi’s output. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell people who use Hadi. Continuing to use Hadi after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
